Friday 13th October, 10 - 11:30am
Friday 20th October, 5 - 6:30pm
Scottish Choreographer Julia James-Griffiths is in the process of creating a new work, titled The Box, which explores the impact depression can have on an individual and how our society responds to it.
As part of this project, and the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, she is holding two FREE workshops titled Mind to Move that are specifically for those with experience of mental health issues, no dance experience necessary.
Each workshop will involve discussion and led movement improvisation, with a focus in exploring and enjoying the benefits of exercise and creative expression. Participants are encouraged to take part in whatever way they feel comfortable. The session will end with an informal sharing of the work in-progress of The Box and an opportunity for participants to give feedback.
