About:

Scottish choreographer Julia James-Griffiths will be delivering another Mind To Move workshop this August as a part of The Box Project. The movement workshops are for anyone aged from 18-65 with experience of mental health issues, no dance experience is necessary.

The workshop involves discussion, relaxation exercises, and led movement improvisation; with a focus in exploring and enjoying the benefits of movement and creative expression. Participants are encouraged to take part in whatever way they feel comfortable. All workshops end with a short excerpt sharing of The Box and an opportunity for participants to give feedback.

The Box is a dance theatre piece that explores the impact depression can have on an individual, and how our society responds to it. Anyone who has attended a Mind To Move workshop will also be eligible to receive a discounted ticket to see a performance of The Box on tour this Autumn.
